How much humidity is suitable for the growth and development of shiitake mushrooms

Mushroom is known as the "King of Mountain Treasures", and it is a high-protein, low-fat nutritious health food. The ergosterol content in shiitake mushrooms is very high, which is effective in preventing and treating rickets; and lentinan (β-1,3 glucan) can enhance cellular immunity, thereby inhibiting the growth of cancer cells; shiitake mushrooms contain more than 40 kinds of enzymes of six major enzymes , can correct human enzyme deficiency; the fatty acid contained in the fat in mushrooms is beneficial to the human body to reduce blood lipids.

Shiitake mushrooms can grow and develop normally at 15°C to 28°C.

However, during the growth and development period of shiitake mushrooms, the spores of shiitake mushrooms have higher requirements for water, and can only germinate in the medium with higher humidity. In the growth stage of Lentinus edodes mycelium, it is required that the water content of the mushroom body is 40-45%, and the growth is stopped below 20%. The relative humidity of the air is preferably 65-75%, not higher than 80%. But in the stage of wood inoculation to the survival stage, a higher air humidity is required, preferably 70-85%.
